Calling the cops on parents who trust their kids to wait in the car a few minutes continues to be a national pastime. Join the zkhzrdfzsn

My kids didn’t put their shoes on when I told them to so the wait was longer than it needed to be. There may have been some screaming children who got the door shut on them with their mama walking away to stand at the Walmart door and wait. Until someone decided they needed to intervene and I saw the woman knocking on the window asking if the kids were ok. Grrr.
This over-reactionary, proactive hyper-vigilant society we live in is depressing.
The “see something, say something” thing has been taken too far.
I remember the days when I used to opt into reading in the car instead of going in the store…now you come back out of the store to a police officer talking to your kiddo when you do that. Crazy world we live in today!
Hey everyone, my name is Susan,
Recently I left my child Joshua in the car, book in hand, eagerly reading “The Lord of the Rings”. When I exited the supermarket I found my window smashed and a woman standing next to my car with a crowbar asking if my child was okay. As if it was 300 degrees outside! Joshua was terrified as he buried his face in his book, balling his eyes out at the terror bestowed upon his 19 year old mind! I ran over to my car and grabbed the woman, demanding she apologizes to my young son of 19 years! But then ladies, you’ll never believe this, she spat on me, got in my car, drove away. Never to be seen again. Joshua is still missing…
