Like the game itself, this question goes back and forth: Is the game of dodgeball creating cruelty in kids that will last a lifetime? We discuss this, over at Let Grow!
I played dodgeball in gym class when I was a kid back in the 50’s. We always looked forward to it because it was fun and challenging! As the name implies…you learn to dodge the ball.
Actually, back then we called it bombardment!

why would it? I sensed no cruelty playing it in various settings, w/ a variety of kids. I can’t even recall associated bullying, ridicule, sexism.
